Helsinki was our next port of call. It is an overnight ferry ride from Stockholm and the sea was busy with local ferries and cruise liners coming and going. We had a half-day tour which took us to the Sibelius Monument and the very interesting Rock Church. |

Our first stop was the Sibelius Monument, which is a tribute to one of Finland's most famous composers, Jean Sibelius. It is made of steel tubing. |

This is the Rock Church. We spent most of our time on tour here. The church was carved out of solid granite, with the ceiling made of copper. It is an active church, hosting concerts as well as worship services. |
